HELP Latino interdisciplinary Full-Day operates from 8:30AM until 4PM Monday
through Friday except Holidays. A unique bilingual bicultural curriculum
designed empirically by studying the outcome of hundreds of Latino patients
has created the bilingual services of the HELP Latino program.
Services are
delivered by bilingual staff. The Spanish language services integrate
individual medical treatment, group psychological and rehabilitative care.
The treatment for each patient in the full day program is determined by the
path chosen by you and your treatment team at the initial evaluation. Those
who are already very productive (working full or part time, and independent
in their home and community) may never attend the full day program. Those
who have lost these necessary measures of independent living may spend as
many as 6 weeks of time in the HELP day program progressing through the
event based treatment plan designed and modified for them to allow a
recovery to independence.
Disease specific medical, rehabilitative and
psychological treatment are provided each day to all participants. Initial
goals are established and regular measures of attainment are derived for
each important event in the treatment path. Once patients are able to mange
their needs with less intensive services they are transitioned to the part
day program and to remote care. |
